Starting keeping betta when we were kids as most Indonesian child. Played and fought the fish and bred. In the 1970's it was only short tail fighter and veil tail betta available, both for fighting purpose. In the 1990's the veil tail betta and short tail fighter was developed to a beautiful crowntail in Indonesia and halfmoon in Europe .

After long pause, we started keeping and breeding betta again in late 1990. The first spawn was a crowntail pair. Now after 5 years we open a farm with 80 ponds and thousand of aquariums in a small town, Serpong near Jakarta . This farm breeds all kind of betta types: Crowntail, Halfmoon, Short Tail, Plakat, and Double tail. It produces 20 spawn every month with approximately 3000 bettas a month. This farm is managed by experienced breeders where bettas are taken good care with love and passion.

Member of Indo Betta Splendens (InBS) since 2001, International Betta Congress (IBC) since 2003 and Betta Club of Singapore (BCS) since 2005, Jotya Betta Farm is connected to international betta community.
